Fostering a circular bioeconomy in the cocoa value chain

Although in the agro-industrial processing of cocoa numerous byproducts exist, these are often disposed of as waste. This project examines the potential for byproduct valorization along the joint cocoa/chocolate value chain in Ecuador and Switzerland.

Circusol

CIRCUSOL stands for “Circular Business Models for the Solar Power Industry”.  It is an Innovation Action project bringing together 15 partners from 7 European countries to develop and demonstrate business solutions for circular economy in the solar power sector.

Corporate social responsibility vs Circular Economy

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) and circular economy (CE) are both relevant for promoting sustainable business development. We investigate the implementation of CSR and CE to obtain new practical and scientific insights.

Whey no waste

A regional food supply has the potential to increase the sustainability of food systems. Using whey, we analyse the prerequisites for the development of local bioeconomy clusters in Switzerland.
